Originally established in 2007 as Frontlinestudio, a creative and design agency based in Johannesburg. In keeping up with the evolving environments and client needs.Frontline Strat was born, formally registered as a strategy consultancy in 2013.


Our initial focus was creative executions, however, with the growth in importance of relationship building, social media (word of mouth) and customer connections, we have evolved to become architects of cutting-edge brand strategy that helps our clients engage with the advancing, sophisticated, relationship based needs of their stakeholders, clients and customers.

In Musa’s engagement with James, they discovered that he had a lot of negative information about him online in the SERPs [Search Engine Results Pages]. Since this is a challenged they had faced before and Frontline had helped them with it, they recommended that James contact us to assist him with his reputation.

When McKinsey approached us, it had no brand equity in the African public psyche. They wanted to lift their brand image in the minds of smart young Africans, to attract the best intellectual talent on the continent for employment.

To help come up with a young talent program they engaged two agencies to pitch for a recruitment campaign centered around their exhibition stands and brand messaging.

When they approached us, Musa Capital was being sabotaged by malicious negative publicity generated by mining executives of a mining company with interests in the platinum belt.For two years 2008-2010, the mining directors, in cahoots with mainstream media players, went on a media smear campaign to discredit Musa and its directors. This was done to prevent Musa Capital from playing a financial advisory role to a poor community ...
